Programs for our youngest members are tentatively held the first Saturday of every month. Beaver Memorial is a Safe Sanctuaries Certified Community. This means we participate in a training program for teachers to ensure that the church is a safe place for children.
Meets every other Sunday after the 10:30 AM worship service during the school year and once a month during the summer. All are welcome so bring a friend! Our leaders are certified in First Aid and CPR and have completed Safe Sanctuaries training for your peace of mind.)
Year-round Activities for all ages
Beaver Memorial UMC offers many great activities for youth of all ages. Some of our offerings include:
–Youth-hosted coffee hour every second Sunday of the month
–Helping at Dinner by the River
–Aiding in Worship as acolyte, usher, or scripture reader
–Operation: Clean Sweep (assisting our downtown businesses to prepare store fronts for the Lewisburg Arts Fest in April)
–Summertime Community Garden (food is grown by our youth for the Dinner by the River program)
–Youth Lock-ins and Youth Retreat to Central Oak Heights (end of summer)
–Crop Walk (October walk to raise funds and awareness for World Hunger)
–The Haunted House (more than 250 community members pass through the haunted hallways of Beaver)
Children & Youth Sunday School
There are many opportunities for growth and education at BMUMC’s Sunday School classes. They begin at 9:15 am. We also offer Confirmation classes for those in 6th grade or older and are taught by Pastor Tim.
Beaver Memorial is a Safe Sanctuaries Certified Community. This means we participate in a training program for teachers to ensure that the church is a safe place for children. Under Safe Sanctuaries, the child to adult ratio is limited, and teachers are trained in child predator response and CPR.

A weekly music ministry for adults and youth 12 and up. Rehearses weekly September through June, sings weekly for 10:30 worship and for special worship times. Previous choir experience is not necessary.
A children’s singing and bell choir for pre-school through 5th grade. Handbells are color-coded andchildren learn to ring songs via color charts. The Children’s Choir participates periodically in 10:30 worship and are the core of the Christmas Pageant each year. The choir meets Wednesday evenings. Youth and adults who play brass instruments and provide music for worship. Brass plays periodically and for special services such as Christmas Eve, Easter, summer music, etc.
The handbell choir is an intergenerational choir which rings at announced times throughout the year. No experience necessary. Contact Barb Leauber for more details.
