There are many ways you can become involved at Beaver Church. Below is a list of the many programs and ministries available. If you’re interested in any group, please contact us to learn how to join.
Children’s Christian Education
There are many opportunities for growth and education available for everyone in BMUMC’s Sunday School classes. They begin at 9:15 am and are divided by age/grade.
Beaver Memorial is a Safe Sanctuaries Certified Community. Our teachers have appropriate clearances and training to ensure that the church is a safe place for all of God’s children.
Adult Christian Education
There are opportunities for growth and education available for all adults through the ministry of Beaver Church. Listed below are some of our current options. Contact the church office for more information on any of these ministries and to learn more about other Christian Ed. opportunities.
Adult Sunday School–9:15am Sundays
Topics vary from current book studies to study of specific books of the Bible.
Men’s & Women’s Small Groups–Alternating Mondays, 7:30pm-9pm
Studying the parables of Jesus, our men’s and women’s groups meet on alternating Monday nights. Contact the church office for more information on where the groups are meeting.
RiverWoods Bible Study–Tuesdays, 10am @ RiverWoods Ridge Crest Building
Current topic is Adam Hamilton’s latest book on The Apostles’ Creed.
Chancel Choir–A weekly music ministry for adults and youth 12 and up. Rehearses weekly from September through June; sings weekly for 10:30 worship and for special worship times. Previous choir experience is not necessary.
Children’s Choir—A children’s choir for pre-school through 5th grade. The Cherub Choir participates periodically in 10:30 worship and on special Sundays. The choir meets Wednesday evenings for rehearsal, directed by Brooke Persing.
Handbell Choir–The handbell choir is an intergenerational choir which rings at announced times throughout the year. No experience necessary. Directed by Barb Leauber, contact the church office for more information.
Dinner by the River
Dinner by the River is a ministry of all the churches in Lewisburg, hosted by First Presbyterian Church on Market Street. Free meals are prepared and served to area residents every Thursday evening at 6pm.
Beaver Church is responsible for preparing, serving, and clean-up for DBTR about four times a year. Contact the church office for our next scheduled DBTR and to sign-up to help!
